Rapid EIA Studies of 3 Pre-identified Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites in NCT - Delhi Page No.127 Chapter - 5 EVALUATION OF POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL SITES 5.1 EVALUATION OF SITES The pre-identified hazardous wastes disposal sites in NCT - Delhi have been evaluated based on existing environmental settings and as per the criteria developed by CPCB, MOEF and the criteria followed internationally. (refer Chapter 3 & 4) All the features as described in all the criteria have been investigated with respect to pre-identified four sites in NCT - Delhi. The evaluation of each site is given in Table 5.1 through 5.4. Table 5.1: Evaluation of Bawana Relocation Industrial Site Location of Site: Near Vinod Rice Mill, Holambi Kalan Village Sanoth District Sl. Criteria No. NCT - Delhi CPCB criteria 1. Any Lake or pond shall be more than 200 m from the site 2. A navigable river or stream shall be more than 100 m away from the site 3. Site shall be outside 100 year flood plain of major rivers 4. Right of way of any National or State highway shall be 500m away from the site Conformity with the criteria (Y/N) 5. A notified habitat area shall be 500 Y meter away from the site 6. A public park shall be 500 meter Y away from site 7. No site shall be within critical habitat Y area (like reserved forest) 8. No site shall be within wetlands Y 9. No site shall be within a zone notified Y # by aviation authority around airport 10. Water supply well shall be 500 m away from the site Y 11.
