4.12 FUTURE LAND USE PLAN

Fig 4.33 and Fig 4.34 depicts the morpho - landuse and land suitability and land
capability map of NCT - Delhi. From these figures, it can be predicted that site I & IV
fall under transitional land zone because of high moisture content. The future
landuse plan for Bawana relocation industry area as planned by DSIDC is shown in
Fig 4.35. There is no landuse plan made for the proposed site.
Site II i.e. near Wazirpur CETP is a wasteland and no future landuse plan has been
made for it.
Site III near village Gumman Hera is a barren land. It falls under structurally sag
zone. The site is not suitable for developing as agriculture land. As of now no future
landuse plan has been made for the proposed site.
4.13 DISTANCE FROM AIRPORT
All the four proposed sites fall outside the air corridor and Director General of Civil
Aviation (DGCA) has no objection in developing these sites for Industrial hazardous
waste facility from aerodrome point of view. The No objection certificate from DGCA
is given in Annex IV.
4.14 ROAD LINKAGE
To have a proper development, accessibility and connectivity plays an important
role, therefore, adequate linkages is necessary. Fig 4.2, 4.5, 4.7 respectively shows
the major road networks around the proposed hazardous waste disposal sites.
The major linkages around the proposed sites are as follows:-
Site I: Bawana Industry Relocation Site
1. Delhi - Bawana road.
2. Bawana - Narela road
3. Proposed 60 feet wide road near the proposed site ( under construction)
Site II: Wazirpur CETP site
1. G. T. Road (NH 1)
2. NH 2
3. Ring road.
Site II: Gumman Hera site
1. Najafgarh - Guman Hera
2. Sikarpur - Guman Hera via Jhatikara
