We occasionally have to cancel classes due to<br />
low enrollment, and make this decision a few days<br />
before the class start date. Please don’t wait<br />
until the last minute to register for a class you are<br />
interested in, because we hope to run as many<br />
classes as possible!<br />
ADVANCED DRIVER TRAINING<br />
<strong>Needham</strong> Community Education is pleased to promote<br />
an advanced driver’s training program for <strong>Needham</strong><br />
students through In Control Advanced Driver Training<br />
at a discounted rate of $275 ($75 off the regular rate<br />
of $350). The In Control program provides students<br />
with valuable hands-on experiences in skid control,<br />
accident avoidance, and other crucial driving skills<br />
that cannot be practiced on public roads. Professional<br />
racecar drivers instruct students in both a classroom<br />
setting and behind the wheel at three locations: the<br />
primary training facility in North Andover, at Worcester<br />
airport, and at Horseneck Beach in Westport. Parents<br />
are encouraged to accompany their students to the<br />
4 1/2 hour training, observing the in-car instruction<br />
and joining in for the classroom portions. The ideal<br />
time for students to take this course is after they have<br />
completed the on-the-road training of the Driver’s<br />
Education course, but before or soon after they obtain<br />
their license (a learner’s permit is required). Additional<br />
family members can take the training for a reduced<br />

companies now offer discounts for having completed<br />
