This course for parents of early elementary students<br />
will provide helpful guidance and tips on how to help<br />
children develop their reading, writing, and word<br />
knowledge skills. We will cover various strategies<br />
to better equip parents to support their children with<br />
decoding, comprehension, fluency and writing skills<br />
– including fun, easy methods to engage children in<br />
reading and writing activities. Learning to read and write<br />
can be fun and exciting – join us to learn the many ways<br />
you can help! Please note: course includes a 30-minute<br />
one-on-one consultation, to be scheduled with the<br />
instructor once the course has begun, for parents to gain<br />
valuable advice focused on their child’s specific learning<br />

This class has a very clear mission: spend more time<br />
writing! Find your voice and boost your creativity<br />
through a series of fun directed writing exercises. We<br />
will discuss published pieces and the process of writing<br />
as a means to exploring new possibilities in subject,<br />
style, and point of view, and how to shape characters<br />
and create great images. Participants will have several<br />
chances to read and receive feedback on the work they<br />
produce, all in a supportive environment. This class is<br />
appropriate for all level of writers working on nonfiction,<br />
memoir, or novels. Please bring a pen and notebook<br />
(or laptop) to class. Limited to 12.<br />

discuss videos of public speakers both great and<br />
gruesome, use small group practice, and utilize a<br />
variety of speaking exercises designed to fit your<br />
comfort level. Laugh, get compliments, and capitalize<br />
on your strengths as you make your way toward<br />
becoming a confident speaker who can both impress<br />
and inspire. From nervous amateur to polished<br />
professional, we’ll meet you wherever you are to help<br />
you gain confidence, improve your vocal skills, and<br />
use physicality and humor to authentically engage your<br />
