creations will then be fused in the kiln after the class;<br />
fused items can then be picked up at the classroom<br />
the following Saturday, March 23, between 10am and<br />
1pm, or at the Community Education office in the school<br />
administration building after March 23. A materials fee<br />
of $70 (per parent/child pair) is payable to the instructor<br />
for all tools and the selection of glasses. Students<br />
should bring safety goggles to class, and be sure to<br />
wear close-toed shoes. This class is appropriate for<br />
children 7-12 years old, when accompanied by a parent<br />
or other adult. Limited to 7 parent/child pairs.<br />

COLLAGE CARDS<br />

For those who really want to tap into their innate creativity,<br />
join us to learn various assemblage techniques to<br />
create beautiful one-of-a-kind cards suitable for giving<br />
or framing. Using a wide assortment of materials, you<br />
will learn techniques for layering, tearing and collage,<br />
while focusing on design, composition and creativity.<br />
All materials will be provided, but feel free to also bring<br />
any colorful paper scraps and assorted embellishments<br />
(buttons, string, etc.) to add to your creations. Enjoy<br />
an evening out being creative, and come home with a<br />
beautiful assortment of completed cards. A materials fee<br />
of $12 is payable to the instructor in class. Please bring a<br />
pair of scissors, a glue stick, and a roll of two-sided tape<br />
to class. Limited to 12.<br />

RECYCLED JEWELRY<br />

Learn how to transform everyday materials into unique,<br />
fun and funky jewelry to give as gifts or enjoy wearing<br />
yourself. Through teacher demonstration and hands-on<br />
practice, you will learn techniques for turning ordinary<br />
hardware store items and found objects into stunning<br />
earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. You will leave with<br />
at least one bracelet, 2 pairs of earrings, one necklace,<br />
and components, tools, and ideas to make many more<br />
pieces of recycled jewelry on your own at home. A<br />
materials fee of $15 is payable to the instructor in class.<br />
Please bring to class a pair of scissors with a point,<br />
and flat and round nose jewelry pliers if you have them<br />
(there will be a few to borrow in class if you don’t). High<br />
school students are welcome! Children aged 8-12 years<br />
old are welcome to register with a parent. Limited to 12.<br />
