<strong>ACMT</strong> <strong>Award</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Outstanding</strong> <strong>Service</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />

Purpose<br />

The <strong>Award</strong> will honor a member who has rendered outstanding service <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> American<br />

<strong>College</strong> of Medical Toxicology.<br />

Criteria<br />

Any member may nominate himself/herself or any o<strong>the</strong>r member who would be considered a<br />

role model. <strong>Outstanding</strong> service may include but is not limited <strong>to</strong>; longevity of committee<br />

service, chairmanship of committees, new program development or subcommittee creation<br />

and leadership, and lead authorship of position statements.<br />

Nomination Procedures<br />

Letters of nomination should offer detailed specific in<strong>for</strong>mation regarding <strong>the</strong> nominee's<br />

contributions <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> field of Medical Toxicology. An accompanying Curriculum Vitae is<br />

required.<br />

The recipient will be recognized at <strong>the</strong> <strong>ACMT</strong> Annual Scientific Meeting.<br />

Judgment<br />

Each year <strong>the</strong> <strong>Award</strong>s Committee will evaluate <strong>the</strong> new entries submitted and all previous<br />

nominees who were not given <strong>the</strong> award. The recommendations are subject <strong>to</strong> review by <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>ACMT</strong> Board of Direc<strong>to</strong>rs. The decision of <strong>the</strong> Board is final, and <strong>the</strong> Board reserves <strong>the</strong> right<br />

<strong>to</strong> make no award if <strong>the</strong>re are no nominees of sufficient merit.


<strong>ACMT</strong> <strong>Award</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Outstanding</strong> Contribution <strong>to</strong> Medical Toxicology<br />

Education<br />

Purpose<br />

The <strong>Award</strong> will honor an <strong>ACMT</strong> member who has made significant contributions <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

educational pursuits of medical <strong>to</strong>xicology.<br />

Criteria<br />

Any member of <strong>the</strong> <strong>College</strong> may nominate himself/herself or ano<strong>the</strong>r member <strong>for</strong> this award.<br />

The nominee must be a member of <strong>the</strong> <strong>College</strong>. Examples of outstanding contributions may<br />

include but are not limited <strong>to</strong>; an outstanding teacher who has made an educational impact<br />

on medical <strong>to</strong>xicology, development of teaching methods (books, o<strong>the</strong>r publications,<br />

audiovisual teaching <strong>to</strong>ols, and computer instruction), and outstanding service in medical<br />

<strong>to</strong>xicology fellowship training.<br />
