SYSTEM (IRSS)<br />

HIB<br />

IRSS automates the Joint Capabilities Integration & Development System<br />

(JCIDS) process (Ref: AFI 10-601) for the approval of new warfighting requirements<br />

documents (i.e., ICD, CDD, CPD, AoA). IRSS is a web-based<br />

Air Force-wide system, residing on the GCSS-AF IF SIPRNET only. IRSS<br />

facilitates operational capability requirements and management activities of<br />

the warfighting commands, Air Staff, MAJCOMS, and other Air Force<br />

agencies.<br />

ACAT level: Non-ACAT<br />

Resource provider: IRSS is funded from various sources with 3400 dollars.<br />

Funding sources include: SAF/AQ, SAF/FM, AFMC/FM, ESC/FM,<br />

GCSS-AF, HAF/RM, Space Command, etc.<br />

WARFIGHTER BENEFITS<br />

Rapid delivery of warfighting requirements, automated and simultaneous<br />

coordination of requirements documents which is sent out to over<br />

40 organizations at one time, AFROC leadership reviews/approves<br />

warfighting requirements that are processed within IRSS, IRSS requirements<br />

are electronically distributed to the JROC for approval.<br />
