The shank of the root plane Gracey Curette is 3mm longer than a standard Gracey Curette. This<br />
additional length allows for scaling, root planing and periodontal debridement of the pocket and<br />
root surface of 5mm or more. Rigid root plane Curettes have a thicker, less flexible shank which<br />
makes them better suited for moderate to heavy calculus removal.<br />
