Mission: MAKO Surgical Corp. is dedicated to advancing orthopedics through the discovery and
Products:
MAKO’s RIO ® Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System coupled with its proprietary
RESTORIS ® Family of Implants, enable surgeons to perform an orthopedic procedure called
MAKOplasty ® for partial knee resurfacing and total hip arthroplasty. The RIO system overcomes
limitations of conventional orthopedic surgeries by providing auditory, visual, and tactile guidance
that, when integrated with the touch and feel of the surgeon’s skilled hand, provides consistently
reproducible precision in partial knee and total hip replacement surgeries.
MAKOplasty Partial Knee Resurfacing is an advanced treatment option designed to relieve
pain and restore range of motion for adults living with early to mid-stage osteoarthritis that has not
progressed to all three compartments of the knee. This procedure offers a less invasive surgery
and a more rapid recovery than total knee arthroplasty.
MAKOplasty Total Hip Arthroplasty is an innovative surgical treatment option for adults living
with non-inflammatory or inflammatory degenerative joint disease. Advanced robotic arm
technology and versatile implants assist surgeons in attaining a new level of accuracy.
