Ron is Vice President, National Sales for
Home Trust Company. Ron has 18+ years
of Mortgage Industry experience in mortgage
lending, specifically in the alternative
market. Before joining Home Trust in
2006, he spent over 6 years with CIBC/
HLC where he played a key role in the
launch of HLC (Home Loans Canada)
as National Promotions and Marketing
Manager for 3 years, and later became
a top producing Mortgage Broker specializing
in alternative mortgages.
Brian Leland
Equitable Trust Company
Brian is the Vice-President, Residential
Credit for Equitable Trust Company,
a position that he has held since 2011
when he joined the management
team. Prior to joining Equitable, Mr.
Leland held credit and sales roles in financial
services and mortgage lending
with other lenders.
Jason Vyner
New Haven Mortgage Corporation
Jason is the owner of New Haven
Mortgage Corporation, which services
the non-institutional mortgage
marketplace in Ontario. Jason
specializes in construction financing as
well as second mortgage loans.

Nick Kyprianou
Equity Financial Trust Company
Nick joined Equity Financial Trust Company
in 2010 as the Chief Executive
Officer. Mr. Kyprianou is responsible
for managing the company’s mortgage
and deposit operation, which is
completely paperless. Prior to joining
Equity Financial Trust, Nick was President
of Home Trust Company and a
past member of the board of directors
of Regency Finance Corporation,
Payment Services Interactive Gateway
Corp. and Home Trust Company.
Rajan Kaushal
Tribecca Finance Corporation
Rajan is the President of Tribecca
Finance Corporation and has been
in the mortgage lending business
since he was in his early twenties. The
company specializes in construction
financing and second mortgages.
Rick Glauser
Optimum Mortgage
Rick is the Regional Sales Manager for
Eastern Canada with Optimum. Rick
has been with Optimum Mortgage
since 2008 and has had an extensive
career in the Financial Services industry
for 36 years, beginning with HFC
in 1977 followed by other prominent
institutions such as Municipal Trust,
Beneficial, IMC, and Wells Fargo. Rick
also worked as a mortgage broker in
1993 in the Barrie market.
Moderator – Allan Kates,
Northwood Mortgage Limited
Allan is a licensed mortgage broker
and is the Vice President of Sales for
Northwood Mortgage Ltd. He helps
run a sales force of over 175 Mortgage
Professionals. Allan brings a wealth of
knowledge in the financial planning,
insurance and mortgage brokering/
lending industries. Allan began
his mortgage career in 1999 with
Northwood Mortgage as a member
of the company’s sales force. In his
previous roles, Allan was responsible
for dramatic sales improvements in
the financial services companies that
he was a part of. He is currently a
member of IMBA’s Board of Directors.
