Life cycle cost modelling and analysis
Understanding the total life cycle cost of equipment is essential for accurate
design and procurement decisions. Life cycle cost modelling and analysis
reduces the cost of equipment ownership by identifying and estimating all
costs incurred throughout the materiel life cycle—from the concept phase,
through to acquisition and in-service support, and equipment disposal.
Boeing Defence Australia specialises in life cycle cost analysis using computerbased
models to support our customers’ design and acquisition requirements.
This analysis includes providing alternative design and support solutions, and
identifying cost risks.
Spares optimisation modelling and analysis
Boeing Defence Australia is committed to maintaining the operational capability of
our customers’ complex equipment. This is achieved by ensuring the right part is
available in the right location to support equipment maintenance. Boeing Defence
Australia’s spares optimisation modelling and analysis capability produces costeffective,
tailored spares solutions by using sophisticated computer modelling to
solve logistics and sparing problems. This capability includes:
xx
Optimisation of initial spares procurement
xx
Distribution of stock holdings and redistribution of existing stock
xx
Analysis of repair policies, stock holding policies, alternative
support organisations
