Life cycle cost modelling and analysis
Understanding the total life cycle cost of equipment is essential for accurate
design and procurement decisions. Life cycle cost modelling and analysis
reduces the cost of equipment ownership by identifying and estimating all
costs incurred throughout the materiel life cycle—from the concept phase,
through to acquisition and in-service support, and equipment disposal.
Boeing Defence Australia specialises in life cycle cost analysis using computerbased
models to support our customers’ design and acquisition requirements.
This analysis includes providing alternative design and support solutions, and
identifying cost risks.

Spares optimisation modelling and analysis
Boeing Defence Australia is committed to maintaining the operational capability of

available in the right location to support equipment maintenance. Boeing Defence
Australia’s spares optimisation modelling and analysis capability produces costeffective,
tailored spares solutions by using sophisticated computer modelling to

Next generation logistics support
Managing technical data is crucial to successfully sustain, and achieve optimal
value from, customers’ assets. Our Integrated Logistics Support team can provide full
service data requirements from the design phase through to in-service, including data
analysis and modelling through to production of complex technical manuals to meet our
military and commercial customers’ support needs. We also offer the only nationally
recognised ILS practitioner’s course available in Australia.

Boeing is the leading in-country Integrated Logistics Support provider, with a range
of major Australian Defence Force acquisition programs benefiting from our services.
We deliver high quality support system solutions for programs, including Wedgetail
Airborne Early Warning & Control aircraft and Vigilare and Modernised High Frequency
Communications Systems. We also provide operational life cycle support for aircraft
including Classic Hornets, Super Hornets and the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated
Sustainment Program for our military customers. Additionally, for our commercial
customers, we provide 787 Dreamliner component maintenance manuals.
In the land environment, we are developing the support system solution for Thales
Australia’s Hawkei vehicles. While in the maritime environment, we deliver high quality
engineering and support services for the Collins Class Submarine communications
system.
