Winter sports <strong>1998</strong><br />

Basketball<br />
A standout for the 22-5 Wabash NCAA Division III playoff<br />
squad was forward Chad Tabor, who was on the All-ICAC and<br />
NABC/Chevrolet All-Midwest District first teams. He led in<br />
blocked shots (28) and steals (34); was second in scoring (476<br />
points, 17.6 average) and assists (58); and ranked third with 130<br />
rebounds (4.8 average). Among Chad's top games were a careerhigh<br />
34 points versus Franklin and 27 points against DePauw.<br />
Also a season-long regular for Wabash was co-captain/guard<br />
Beau Barrett, the free throw shooting leader (88.2 percent, 30 of<br />
34) and assists leader (59). He also ranked third on the squad<br />
with 25 steals. Forward Tim Flint appeared in 13 contests for the<br />
Littie Giants.<br />
Forward Lindley Thompson was a key player and started 17<br />
contests for the 25-6 Nebraska-Kearney RMAC champs and Division<br />
II playoff team. He scored 217 points (7.0), grabbed 135<br />
rebounds (4.4) and had a season high 20 points versus <strong>No</strong>rthwestern<br />
State.<br />
