of South Carolina. This summer<br />

at Leadership College, we<br />

also received the Silver Star<br />

and the GHQ Trophy. The<br />

weekend of October 10-12<br />

was homecoming at the University<br />

of South Carolina.<br />

Brothers John Banks, Andy<br />

Hearn, Don Hill, Mark<br />

Kovacs, and Chris Ray organized<br />

an alumni barbecue<br />

before the football game.<br />

It was great to see everyone<br />

who came. We encourage<br />

any alumni in the area to<br />

stop by for a visit.<br />

Currentiy, our flag football<br />

team is the champions for<br />

their division, finishing with<br />

a perfect record.<br />

Florida Gamma<br />

Florida State University<br />

This fall Florida Gamma<br />

has enjoyed one of its most<br />

successful semesters in many<br />

years. Florida Gamma kicked<br />

off the semester with its most<br />

successful rush in several<br />

years. The chapter not only<br />

pledged one of the five largest<br />

pledge classes at Florida State,<br />

but the definitely pledged the<br />

highest quality of men available.<br />

Florida Gamma also has<br />

enjoyed great success in other<br />

areas of campus life as well.<br />

Florida Gamma members<br />

have become involoved in<br />

every area of campus life at<br />

Florida State. Currently, the<br />

chapter boasts two student<br />

senators, the IFC executive<br />

vice president, and members<br />

in every imaginable campus<br />

organization.<br />

This fall, Florida Gamma<br />

has begun a brand new philanthropy<br />

to benefit Lou<br />

Gehrig's Disease, The Ladies<br />

of FSU Calendar. Each of<br />

FSU's sixteen sororities nominated<br />

one member of their<br />

chapter to take part in the<br />

calendar. In the end, nine ladies<br />

were chosen to represent<br />

their individual sorority, and<br />

<strong>Phi</strong> Deha <strong>Theta</strong>, in the Ladies<br />

of FSU Calendar. The winner,<br />

Meg Charlton of Pi Beta <strong>Phi</strong>,<br />

has been named the chapter<br />

sweetheart and is on the<br />

cover. The second and third<br />

place finishers (Tory Moldt of<br />

Kappa <strong>Delta</strong> and Jamie<br />

Stephenson of <strong>Delta</strong> <strong>Delta</strong><br />

<strong>Delta</strong>) have been named Ladies<br />

of the Sword and Shield<br />

for the chapter and each have<br />

two months in the calendar. If<br />

you are interested in purchasing<br />

a calendar they are available<br />

for $15. Please call new<br />

chapter president Jared Ross<br />

information.<br />

<strong>Phi</strong> Delt is once again in<br />

contention for the FSU Intramural<br />

Trophy. The chapter has<br />

already won all-campus<br />

swimming and is currently in<br />

the finals for aU-campus soccer.<br />

Overall, <strong>Phi</strong> Delt is currently<br />

in third place for the<br />

all-important Florida State<br />

Intramural Championship.<br />

Once again, Florida<br />

Gamma will be well represented<br />

on the Florida State<br />

Interfraternity Council Executive<br />

Board. Outgoing<br />

president Josh Stephens has<br />

been elected administrative<br />

vice president for the IFC and<br />

Brother Josh Massey is the<br />

new director of public relations<br />

and communication.<br />

This gives <strong>Phi</strong> <strong>Delta</strong> <strong>Theta</strong><br />

two out of the six IFC executive<br />

board officers. Congratulations<br />

to Brothers Stephens<br />

and Massey!<br />
