chapter had one of its most
successful years in every area.
And finally,thanks to our
alumni who supported us in
every fashion with dignity
and pride.
The 1998-1999 school year
promises to be an even more
successful year for TN
Gamma. Under the guidance
of president Mason Bryant
and vice president Nick
Mathews, Phi Delt will continue
to hold an upper hand
in the University of Tennessee
commimity. We look forward
to the challenges to come. Any
Washington Beta
whitman College
The fall semester at Whitman
College has turned out to be
very successful for the WA
Beta chapter. Once again our
presence on campus has been
overwhelming. The largest of
four fraternities on campus
with 58 active members, we
are pleased to welcome 19
new Phikeias into our education
program. Not only was
our rush the most successful
of the Greek system, but WA
Beta was recognized by our
college administration this fall
for our outstanding academic
achievement, garnering the
highest GPA average with a
3.172. It is also my pleasure to
announce that nearly 20 percent
of the student governing
board of Whitman College is
now composed of members of
Phi Delta Theta, the largest
Greek contingency.
Alumni support for our
Fraternity has never been
stronger. Alumni compose a
majority of the Board of
Trustees, the governing board
for our college. Open house
during Homecoming weekend
provided members the opportunity
of welcoming back
many brothers with a reception
party. Furthermore, generous
alumni donations have
allowed us to make vast improvements
to our house.
Involved in many extracurricular
activities. Phi Deha
Theta once again has a strong
contingency of brothers involved
in the intramural sport
season. More importantly
though, Washington Beta once
again is leading the way in
philanthropic activity. Required
service activities have
resulted in great success for
our chapter, especially in the
fall's Make a Difference Day.
The men of Phi Delta Theta
are excited about this school
year, encouraged that our Fraternity
is growing only in a
positive manner.
