In the last 60 years, the Bocholt transport
company has turned into a logistics provider
with locations all over Germany and
with a comprehensive service spectrum.
Logistics - a broad service spectrum
"Our key focus is reliable storage, security
and availability of all goods," explains Managing
Director Günter Artinger. No matter
which requirements are placed on the experts
by the customer, they will be met:
Heated or non-heated areas, short-term or
long-term storage, block storage or high
rack, with or without additional services
such as security concepts or inventory - "we
create an individual and tailor-made offer
for every customer," Artinger affirms. This
is also confirmed by a few examples. For
example, there is a storage facility in Velpe
which is equipped with a special cooling
system. This created the optimal conditions
for storing, packing and commissioning of
cigarillos and cigars. In this case, the WM
GROUP is responsible for the whole spectrum.
In Hamminkeln on the contrary, an
area is provided as intermediate storage for
a textile company - a broad service spectrum.

Training from the WM GROUP
Ludwig Barking is the air freight security
expert of the company who has been
trained according to the requirements of
the Federal Office of Civil Aviation and
performs all training of the employees.
"We also offer these training sessions to
other companies who would like to become
certified - at the moment, this is a definite
unique selling point," explains Managing

The fact that the WM GROUP is a socalled
"regulated agent" and therefore
is the only logistics provider in the area
which can safely send, store, commission
and pack air freight is a significant differentiating
factor when compared to its
competitors. The background: Since April
2013, air freight cannot be sent without appropriate
checks. Since the airports cannot
perform these checks by themselves - the
expenditure would be immense - it is up
to the logistics providers to ensure the
so-called "secure supply chain". "We
reacted straight away and got certified.
All employees were trained appropriately
to be able to access all areas of
our locations and work there. From
apprentices to myself, every single
employee received training," says
Artinger. If a "known consignor"
wants to send secure air freight,
they require a "regulated agent" to
