Sustainable security: The “We event” of the LB GmbH

Lebo is a company with a lot of heritage.
Founded in 1871 in the city centre of Bocholt
as a carpenter's workshop, the LEBO GmbH
now employs 210 employees in Bocholt and
Krakow am See. "We now produce roughly
290,000 doors and 230,000 frames per year
which we distribute worldwide", explains
Christian Wienand.
Technology and design - always in motion
Experts know that the door has become
more and more a piece of furniture and not
just a hole in the wall. The quality goods are
produced in their own manufacturing facility
in Bocholt and distributed to the trade from
there. With DCT - Door Consumer Trade -
the Lebo GmbH has also created a place for
a factory outlet which offers doors to the private
buyer.
If you look at the sales trend of previous
years, it is easy to spot that the curve has a
clear upwards trend. "For this year we have
planned a new drilling lane, which we have
already looked at in the past few weeks",
Maximilian Löhr announces. "We will build
it between Christmas and the New Year and
optimise the processes even further."
Not only in the production is LEBO constantly
evolving. The design sector constantly
develops new models. "Whilst the surfaces
had to be as smooth as possible in previous
years, many customers now request visible
knotholes and the so-called natural look," explains
Christan Wienand. Many models from
classic to unusual can be viewed at the large
exhibition in Händelstraße - perfect to get an
overview of the product range. This product
range is constantly optimised, further developed
and adapted to meet the requirements of
the market. In the near future - so the Managing
Director announces - more time will be
devoted to work on a premium collection.

the event and brought frame components to
demonstrate the different production steps.
Unbeatable consistency
Service and customer satisfaction are of the
utmost importance for LEBO. The customer
normally gets the order confirmation within
24 hours and offers are processed within 48
hours. "In many companies it is still a common
practice to go into company holidays in
the summer months. We do not do that. For
over five years, our production never stops so
that we can always guarantee reliable delivery
times", Christian Wienand explains.
The Export-Offensive
LEBO produces in Bocholt and Krakow am
See. Yet, LEBO doors and frames can be found
in many parts of the world. "Over the years,
we have established representative offices in
Russia, Romania and the United Kingdom
and we also export to Canada, Turkey, Mongolia,
Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

At the start of the year, I travelled to Beijing
in China and was able to establish important
contacts there," enthuses Maximilian Löhr.
"LEBO was admitted to the 'Window and
Door City' - high quality show rooms - as an
exclusive German interior door manufacturer.
Major contractors and investors can view
different models there. This is obviously very
valuable for us." ◀

The frame manufacturer Weidhofer from
Mecklenburg-West Pomerania in Krakow am
See has been a part of the LB GmbH for a
long time, but only now it carries the connection
in the name after being renamed LEBO
