Managing Director Alfred Lanfer's mind a few
years ago and refused to go away: an intelligent
building that uses IT solutions to direct
the focus to what is important whilst saving

achieved through building automation," says
Kuhlmann. The conference room, for example,
can be booked virtually, and when in use the
temperature is optimised through heating in
the winter and cooling in the summer.
"Sensors - and this is what is special about it
- inform the air conditioning, heating, lighting
and shade systems so that they ensure an optimal
climate and perfect lighting conditions
in the room," explains Markus Kuhlmann. The
data is collected so that after only a short time
the first graphs of requirements are available
and maintenance tasks can be identified at an
early stage. The conference rooms in Borken-Weseke
are also equipped with illuminated
door handles so that one can tell from outside
whether a room is occupied or free. "The potential
for savings in energy consumption and
time management are obvious and of interest
to many of our, and perhaps also to your, customers,"
Kuhlmann asserts.
The linking of the individual trades with

which analyses the energy consumption within
a company, the consumption of individual
machines or whole plants can be recorded in
