Sustainable security: The “We event” of the LB GmbH

Werner Habryka: It is no longer necessary
to pay for expensive licenses for different
software programmes. The user only pays
for what they use. We are currently advising
a customer in Bremen who would like
to use the Mall. The comparative values
we calculated showed that the Mall offers
a potential saving of more than 25 percent.
No more investment costs in hardware and
software, no maintenance costs, no energy
costs for the operation and cooling of the
sever, and the customer can focus all their
efforts on their core business.
LB Plus: And what about the provider?
Werner Habryka: For the provider, the
Mall is a sales platform. We have created
a completely new channel, which has the
effect that customers approach providers.
Providers of transport or supplied chain
management systems or warehouse management
systems which we already have in
the mall profit from the "pull". The more
providers and users are connected through
the Mall, the bigger the "pull".
LB Plus: In phase 3, a process designer was
added. How does the user benefit from this?
Werner Habryka: In the future, it will get
easier and easier to create a workflow out
of individual applications using the process
designer. The workflow will then run automatically.
Making the modules of a software
available as apps, however, will take
some time. Software development is heading
exactly in that direction and as a result,
apps will become the norm in the near future.
We are somewhat ahead of our time
with the process designer.
LB Plus: The Logistics Mall is a product of
the Logata group. You have taken up the
"We concept" with a virtual company.
Werner Habryka: Exactly. "The Mall
Company" was created to join the different
trades and companies of the group.
When we are talking about the Mall, we
work like one big company with different
departments and areas of responsibility.
LinogistiX is responsible for applications,
LogAgency for communication, Logata for
administration and project management,
and Lanfer Systemhaus for the smooth operation.
The "We concept" is crucial for the
success of our work.
