In Memorium Chamber mourns the loss of Past Chairman Michael Lavenant Past Chairman of the Board Michael Sean Lavenant, 42 years old, passed away unexpectedly December 12, at his home in Camarillo. Michael has resided in Ventura County since 1996. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton, and went to law school at Southwestern University School of Law. He was a partner at Landegger, Baron, Lavenant and Ingber. Michael joined the Camarillo Chamber in 2004 and was appointed to the Board in July 2007 then elected in July 2008. In 2010 Michael took over as Chairman during a particularly taxing period of transition between CEOs. He led the search for the new CEO and was ever present to help make the transition a smooth one. Michael will always be remembered having a smile on his face and the profound effect he had on everyone he met. He was a very compassionate, kind and giving person who was greatly involved in the Camarillo Community. He is survived by his wife Dana and three children. Michael will always be in our hearts and deeply missed by everyone. The Journal Winter 2013 6
