Road Fund Licence<br />
All road vehicle registrations are subject to Vehicle Excise Duty<br />
(Road Fund Licence), which varies in accordance with the vehicle’s CO 2<br />
emissions. A first year rate of Vehicle Excise Duty applies to new cars on<br />
their first year of registration. For the second and subsequent years a<br />
standard rate for each taxation band will apply.¹ The table below shows<br />
