Presenting an interesting eye appeal with some lighter reddish-orange color on the highpoints that contrasts with the chocolate-brown fields. (photo) Est. 800-1,000 1132 1865 2 Cents. Uncirculated. A pleasing type representative with sharp design details and traces of original color. Est. 60-80 1129 1129 1955/55 1 Cent. AU Details, Cleaned. January 15-16, 2013 - New York, NY 1136 1136 1885 3 Cent Nickel. VF. A rare date that, for most, is only available in proof format given the business strike mintage of only 1,000 coins. The surfaces of the present remain pleasingly defined with honest highpoint wear and few marks. A rare opportunity for the budgeted date collector as many of the survivors were “put away” Uncirculated specimens and now carry lofty price tags. (photo) Est. 700-900 1137 Trio of Better Date Three Cent Nickel Type. 1) 1879. VF. With streaky silver-gray toning. 2) 1888. VF Details, Scratched. A small pinscratch is located on the reverse. 3) 1889. XF. Nicely detailed with some deep tone on the reverse. [3] Est. 150-250 1138 Pair of Better 3 Cent Nickels. 1) 1866. Uncirculated. Bright and struck from heavily clashed dies on both sides. 2) 1888. AU Details, Corroded. Facing up well with corrosion specks on the rims. A better date. [2] Est. 100-150 1140 1140 1835 ½ Dime. PCGS AU55. An superb representative for the grade with a bold strike, few marks, and a pleasingly original sheath of attractive toning. Seemingly premium quality for the grade. Housed in a first generation PCGS holder. (photo) Est. 150-250 1141 1866 ½ Dime. PCGS PR61. Mintage: 725. Light champagne blushes grace both sides with moderate hairlines that slightly diminish the mirrors and define the grade. Housed in a first generation PCGS holder. Est. 200-400 1142 1866 ½ Dime. Proof. Deeply reflective with metallic gray-blue patina on both sides. Evidence of handling would prevents a Select grade. Est. 200-300 1143 1139 1139 1832 ½ Dime. PCGS MS63. A rich palate of intermingled rainbow patina adorns both sides of this unquestionably original Select half dime and magnification confirms only minor grade-defining marks. An ideal representative of this petite silver type. (photo-enlarged) Est. 600-800 1143 1868 ½ Dime. PCGS PR63. Mintage: 600. Deep reflectivity remains apparent in the untoned obverse and reverse fields with light hairlines that define the Select grade. (photo) Est. 300-400 1144 1144 1869 ½ Dime. PCGS PR62. Mintage: 600. Moderately hairlined as the grade suggests with variegated cobalt-blue, maroon, and gold patina on the obverse with a nearly fully metallic blue reverse.
