173593. With suspension loop and ribbon with<br />

brooch plate, in silver and red enamel. Slight stain and<br />

some fading of ribbon. Toned, contact pecks. About very<br />

fine. Est. 90-120<br />

1052 USSR. Motherhood group. Order of Mother Heroine.<br />

Award # 312969. In silver, with applied gold star,<br />

brooch suspension in silver-gilt and red enamel. Some<br />

compound deposits beneath star, about extremely fine;<br />

and Order of Maternal Glory, first, second and third<br />

class. Award #s 154671, 1578400, and 2069771. Silver,<br />

gilt and enamels; and silver with silver and enamel<br />

suspension. Residue on back of 3rd class suspension, all<br />

extremely fine. (4)<br />

Instituted July 8, 1944, the Order of Mother Heroine<br />

was awarded to women who raised 10 or more children.<br />

The Order of Maternal Glory, instituted in the same<br />

year, also awarded women for being abundantly fruitful,<br />

first class was given for raising 9, second for 8, and<br />
