January 15-16, 2013 - New York, NY 1021 Russia, Catherine II (1762-1796), 2 Kopecks, 1766 MM, overstruck on an earlier 4 Kopecks (cf. Brekke 153), parts of undertype show clearly, about very fine; also Nicholas I. Poltina, 1845 CПБ-KБ, hairlines, once brushed, extremely fine, and Alexander III. ½ Kopeck, 1894, fine. [3] Est. 60-90 1022 Russia, Catherine II, the Great (1762-1796), Ruble, 1764 CПБ ЯI, crowned and mantled bust r. (Cr.67.2a), toned about very fine. Est. 200-250 1023 Russia, Catherine II-Paul, Lot of Rubles, includes: 1769 CПБ CA (flan flaws and pinscratches), 1774 ФΛ (damaged), 1775 ФΛ and ЯЧ; and 1798 CM MБ and 1801 AИ, (Cr.67a.2, 101a), the first very fine, the others good-very good. (6) Est. 150-200 1024 Russia, 18th Century AE lot, includes 5 Kopeks, 1765, 1772, 1788, 1789, 1793 EM; 2 Kopecks, 1767, 1776, 1799 EM, Kopek, 1799 EM and Dengas, 1738, 1749, fine to about extremely fine. (11) Est. 100-150 1025 Russia, Alexander I (1801-1825), lot of Rubles, 1803 CПБ AИ, 1804 (2), 1805 ФГ, 1809 ФГ/K (?), 1810 ФГ (Cr. 125, 125a), the first very good with some old scratches, the 1804s - fine with hairlines from old cleaning and very fine, and the latter three very goodabout fine, one with laminations. (6) Est. 225-275 1026 Russia, Alexander I (1801-1825), quintet of Rubles, 1811 CПБ ФГ, 1813 ПC, 1814, 1815 MФ, and 1816 ПC, crowned Imperial eagle, rev, four-line legend and mm within open wreath, crown above (Cr. 130), some surface marks, fine-very fine.
