The chassis made of high tensile steel (DOMEX® Swedish steel)<br />

consists of U-shaped beams with riveted cross-members. This<br />

technology derived from industrial vehicles offers lightness and<br />

flexibility.<br />

HARDI-EVRARD was granted the 2nd place at the Swedish Steel<br />

Prize 2005 for the modern assembling technology. Designed to<br />

overcome the limitations associated with high speeds on the road<br />

as in the field, this chassis achieves the maximum working comfort.<br />

Swedish quality<br />

The position of the main components components (engine, main<br />

tank, rinsing tank, reservoirs, pump etc.) has been specially studied<br />

to optimise the weight distribution between the front and rear<br />

axles which guarantees the best driveability and preserves the soil<br />

structure. All the variable loads are situated at the centre of the<br />

machine.<br />

Maintenance Free Mechanical Suspension designed by<br />

HARDI-EVRARD<br />

The coil sprung chassis is mechanical and maintenance free.<br />

Simplicity and reliability are maintained with HARDI-EVRARD<br />

suspension principle which offers a very natural and optimal<br />

movement over obstacles.<br />

The front wheels are independently sprung by helical springs with<br />

built in oleo-pnuematic shock absorbers are fitted parallel to the<br />

beams. At rear an helical spring with oleo pneumatic shock absorber<br />

is built-in at the centre of the chassis.<br />

Due to its anti-roll design the rear axle movements do not disrupt the<br />

stability of the boom. Chassis and boom stay parallel to the ground.<br />

EasyDrive - Cruise control<br />

and better economy<br />

EasyDrive coordinates the different components of the ALPHA transmission.<br />

EasyDrive optimises the global capacities of the transmission (speed/torque,<br />

progressive acceleration and braking, going through the gears under load) and<br />

establishes a new standard in terms of ease, safety and driving comfort.<br />

The ALPHA <strong>VariTrack</strong> are fitted with Deutz engines meeting the<br />

current anti-pollution standards. The range offers 2 engines<br />

turbo charged common rail, water cooled, 4 cylinders 140 hp and<br />

cylinders 190 hp. The fan driving by viscocoupler reduces significantly<br />

the noise level in the cab. High diesel tank capacity (20<br />

litres).<br />

Easy maintenance<br />

The opening of the two bonnets (upper and lower ones) respectively<br />

by tipping up and sliding makes the access easy for the selfpropelled<br />

sprayer maintenance.<br />

4 wheel drive and steering<br />

With permanent 4 wheel drive, the ALPHA can be driven in 2 or 4<br />

wheel steering. A foot pedal activates the "4 wheel steering" function.<br />

The alignment of rear wheels is automatic.<br />

<strong>VariTrack</strong> - a revolution for track management<br />

The <strong>VariTrack</strong> device allows easy adjustments with<br />

non-stop infinite track width adjustment of 45cm<br />

from the narrowest to the widest required track<br />

width.<br />

There is no additional adjustment to be made<br />

as the wheel track alignment is maintained by a<br />

mechanical link. Without risk of wear or excess<br />

play as all pivots have ball and socket joints at<br />

each articulation, the <strong>VariTrack</strong> is a guarantee of<br />

security and reliability .<br />

This innovation, which received a Silver medal as<br />

awarded at SIMA 2005, increases considerably<br />

the self propelled design as it allows quick and<br />

easy adjustment for variable row crops, but can<br />

be used to vary the width of the machine for high<br />

speed transport on the road in complete safty<br />

With the axle suspension you can comfortably drive at 40 km/h on the road<br />

The 40 km/h option allows you to increase the number of spraying hours<br />

and decrease the costs per hectare.<br />

This option includes a bigger variable flow<br />

SAUER hydraulic pump and POCLAIN DYNA<br />

+ hydraulic wheel motors at front.<br />

For optimal safety, the ALPHA with 40 km/h<br />

are equipped with dynamical braking on the<br />

front axle controlled by a foot pedal in the cab.<br />

In order to meet legislation at specific markets regarding the driving<br />

width at 40 km/h on road, a device has been developed to bring the<br />

boom closer to the cab in transport position. Please refer to your<br />

local legislation.<br />

Optimized comfort<br />

The cab has been developed with operator comfort the priority.<br />

The driving position offers excellent visibility, space and quietness<br />

The main controls are placed at the right hand side of the driving<br />

seat, grouped by function and harmoniously integrated into the<br />

console.<br />

The multifunction joystick, which controls the hydrostatic drive,<br />

allows:<br />

• For forward and reverse movement<br />

• The control of the spraying (main<br />

on/off and sections on/off)<br />

• The control of the boom hydraulic<br />

functions (height, slant, tilt).<br />

The design and positioning of the cab give an optimal front and side<br />

visibility, on road as in the field.<br />

As standard, the cab is fitted with tinted glass, heating with active<br />

carbon filters, air conditioning, adjustable driving wheel and air suspended<br />

seat.<br />

HC 500 Controller sets new standards for<br />

Boom strength and stability<br />

ALPHA DELTA<br />

The adjustment of boom height is done by<br />

means of a parallelogram controlled by two<br />

rams working in traction.<br />

All axles are bushed and equipped with a<br />

lubricator.<br />

In transport position, the parallelogram is automatically<br />

locked ensuring safety and long life.<br />

The boom has coil spring pendulum<br />

suspension with hydraulic damping.<br />

The centre frame is fitted with an antiyaw<br />

device and a damping device to<br />

avoid the boom movements.<br />

The parallelogram main frame has been<br />

designed to allow higher driving speeds.<br />

All the booms have the unique HARDI suspension<br />

Pommier aluminium booms are constructed of 4 round tubes in a<br />

three-dimensional trellis structure. The profiles have internal ribs<br />

which reinforce the boom strength while keeping an incomparable<br />

resistance to corrosion.<br />

The aluminium booms are equipped with PENTANOZZLES.<br />

Wide range of nozzles<br />

DELTA booms are mounted with synthetic piping and TRIPLET nozzle holders.<br />

TWIN FORCE and Aluminium booms are mounted with stainless steel piping.<br />

PENTANOZZLES holders on aluminium booms.<br />

These nozzle holders, fitted with anti-drip diaphragms and positive lock, accept<br />

all the HARDI nozzle range : ISO flat fan nozzles for high quality spraying,<br />

Low Drift nozzles, MINIDRIFT or INJET air inclusion nozzles, as well as<br />

5-hole nozzles and foam nozzles for liquid fertilisers and the new HARDI<br />

DUOCAP for a double nozzle spraying.<br />

Certification of new machines before delivery<br />

As well as testing all the sprayer functions, every machine that<br />

leaves the factory is certified using the <strong>Hardi</strong> Spray Scanner that the<br />

spray distribution pattern meets acceptable standards.<br />

A graph of the pattern is supplied to the purchaser with the instruction<br />

manuals.<br />

HARDI ISO INJET - Injection d’air<br />

Le mélange air / boui lie produit par l’e fet venturi<br />
