Francesco de Betiis, Canon <strong>of</strong> S. Invenzio, acting on behalf <strong>of</strong> Giacomo de Betiis,<br />

administrator <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> hospital <strong>of</strong> S. Invenzio, declares, " versum magistrum Vincentium<br />

de <strong>Foppa</strong> de Brissia pictorem ibi presentem," that he has received from him <strong>the</strong><br />

" livello " <strong>of</strong> one soldo, being <strong>the</strong> charge payable every year upon <strong>the</strong> painter's house.<br />
