Having read what your Highness wrote to me relating to <strong>the</strong> complaint made<br />

by <strong>the</strong> Commune <strong>of</strong> Savona against Master <strong>Vincenzo</strong> <strong>Foppa</strong>, who did not furnish <strong>the</strong><br />

Majestas which he had begun in <strong>the</strong>ir ca<strong>the</strong>dral, I immediately summoned <strong>the</strong> said<br />

Master <strong>Vincenzo</strong>. I gave him to understand what was contained in your Highness'<br />

letter on <strong>the</strong> subject, and I admonished him to go and furnish <strong>the</strong> said work without<br />

fur<strong>the</strong>r delay, o<strong>the</strong>rwise I should have him arrested, and proceedings would be instituted<br />

against him, so that he would have cause to regret not having obeyed. Which matter<br />

I wished to communicate to your Highness, to whom I always commend myself.<br />
