CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Heck won an Emmy for writing a documentary about Washington
state’s Supreme Court. He co-founded and served as the first CEO of TVW, Washington
State Public Affairs Network as well as a company called Intrepid Learning Solutions,
which he says grew from two employees to more than 300 in a little more than a decade.
KEY ISSUES: Campaigned on a jobs platform, hoping to create jobs through new federal
