The <strong>THOMSON</strong> <strong>TG546</strong> <strong>Fiber</strong> combines the speed of <strong>Fiber</strong> with<br />

a full-feature routing engine with excellent performance.<br />

PCs, game consoles, set top boxes, and other devices can<br />

instantly connect to the Internet through one super fast<br />

single point of access. Connecting your LAN to the Internet<br />

is a snap thanks to the integrated 4-port Ethernet switch.<br />

End users will experience broadband Internet and high<br />

quality video over IP.<br />

As all <strong>THOMSON</strong> Gateways, the <strong>THOMSON</strong> <strong>TG546</strong> <strong>Fiber</strong><br />

comes with the advanced and best-on-market Set up Wizard<br />

that guides the end-user through the installation process,<br />

and with remote manageability trough TR-069 for software<br />

upgrades, to ensure future services.<br />

|Guaranteed Quality of Service<br />

<strong>THOMSON</strong>’s <strong>TG546</strong> <strong>Fiber</strong> features bandwidth control for<br />

multiple services. Besides Quality of Service on its hardware<br />

for all resource consuming applications, the <strong>THOMSON</strong><br />

<strong>TG546</strong> <strong>Fiber</strong> also has an extremely versatile layer 2 and layer<br />

3 QoS module on its software. The managed Ethernet switch<br />

has extended VLAN and QoS capabilities for segregated<br />

service delivery.<br />

|Security<br />

The <strong>THOMSON</strong> <strong>TG546</strong> <strong>Fiber</strong> has a built-in firewall denying<br />

unauthorized access to all devices connected to the user’s<br />

broadband connection. The powerful firewall can be configured<br />

by end-users or service providers for a broad range of security<br />

policies and requirements. It uses Stateful Packet inspection<br />

for detection and defending against common internet threats,<br />

such as denial of service attacks.
