Continuing on the proper path
The Address of the National President to the General Convention
By George S. Charles, Jr., FIC
Dear Fellow Delegates, Guests and Friends,
As your National President, it is with honor that I welcome you to this 36th
General Convention.
This year, we will be completing our 121st year as the largest Hungarian
fraternal life insurance society in the United States. We give thanks to Almighty
God for sustaining us through so many years.
Since our last convention, I have at all times, to the best of my ability, fulfilled
the responsibility and trust placed in me to be the voice of our members to
manage the affairs of our Association.
You, as Convention Delegates, have a very important task before you, and
we are confident that your input and decisions will enable our Association to
continue on the proper path to fraternal success in the coming years.
We thank you for your willingness to serve as Delegates. We also would like
to express our deepest appreciation for the loyalty and dedication you exhibit in
representing our membership.
Remember, the success of our team depends on people like you who commit
to excellence. We must believe that the cornerstone of our existence is firmly
rooted in dignity and responsibility. We must recognize talent, ability and loyalty.
Our Association is one of the finest fraternal benefit societies in existence.
We can grow and continue to prosper with good leaders and programs. I am
proud to be a leader of the William Penn Association.
Our Association is a strong, vibrant, growing reality and our future is going
to be strong. We must keep our Association alive making our future generations
and members proud to be a part of William Penn Association. Let us work together,
pray together and serve together. May the future be rewarding for all of
us.
I offer a sincere thank you to my fellow Officers, Official Family members
and Home Office staff for all the rewarding experiences of the past four years.
Working together with all of you, we have accomplished so much.
To my dear wife and son, from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate and thank
you both for helping me with your time, talents and energy for the benefit of our
Association.
May the Good Lord guide us in all our deliberations. Thank you.
