94. Professor August (Gus) Molnar / American<br />

Hungarian Foundation / Extends Greetings. Professor<br />

August Molnar, President, American Hungarian Foundation<br />

extended warm greetings to the delegates of the <strong>36th</strong><br />

<strong>General</strong> <strong>Convention</strong>. He expressed sincere thanks for the<br />

generous support the Foundation has received from the<br />

<strong>William</strong> <strong>Penn</strong> Association. He outlined the past accomplishments<br />

of the American Hungarian Foundation and<br />

the future plans of the Foundation. Professor Molnar was<br />

also promoting the sale of a book entitled, “The Hungarian<br />

Legacy in America” prepared by the American Hungarian<br />

Foundation. He hoped the <strong>William</strong> <strong>Penn</strong> Association will<br />

continue to support the American Hungarian Foundation.<br />

95. Maximilian N. Teleki / Hungarian American<br />

Coalition / Extends Greetings. Maximilian N. Teleki,<br />

representing the Hungarian American Coalition extended<br />

greetings to the delegates of the <strong>36th</strong> <strong>General</strong> <strong>Convention</strong><br />

and explained the mission of his organization. He<br />

requested the support of the <strong>William</strong> <strong>Penn</strong> Association to<br />

the Hungarian American Coalition so they may continue<br />

to accomplish their mission.<br />

96. Branch Allotment Increase. Delegate Timothy J.<br />

Lippert requested the <strong>William</strong> <strong>Penn</strong> Association consider<br />

increasing the allotment the Branches are receiving so they<br />

may be able to promote fraternal activities.<br />

97. Ralph Manning / Estate Planning. Ralph F.<br />

Manning, Esquire, spoke on the subject of Estate Planning.<br />

He outlined various forms of charitable giving which will<br />

benefit the donor tax-wise and also benefit the recipient of<br />

the donation.<br />

98. Delegate Erin Ward / Extends Greetings. Alternate<br />

Director Erin E. Ward, daughter of Dawn and Jeff<br />

Ward, extended greetings to the delegates of the <strong>36th</strong><br />

<strong>General</strong> <strong>Convention</strong>. She expressed sincere thanks and<br />

appreciation to the <strong>William</strong> <strong>Penn</strong> Association for the<br />

scholarship grants she received for four years while she<br />

attended college. It was a great help for her as she continued<br />

her higher education. She urged everyone to support<br />

the Scholarship Foundation so others may also receive the<br />

assistance she received.<br />

99. Director Vasvary / Cookbooks. Director <strong>William</strong> S.<br />

Vasvary stated the <strong>William</strong> <strong>Penn</strong> Association has a new<br />

cookbook on sale and urged everyone to purchase this<br />

new cookbook whereby all proceeds will go to the <strong>William</strong><br />

<strong>Penn</strong> Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation.<br />

100. Scholarship Donations. National V.P./Treasurer<br />

Diane M. Torma announced that all donation envelopes<br />

were collected. The donors name and amounts were<br />

announced. The grand total donated amounted to<br />

$35,100.00. This was the largest fund raising effort<br />

received for the benefit of the <strong>William</strong> <strong>Penn</strong> Association<br />

Scholarship Foundation. National V.P./Treasurer Torma,<br />

Chairman Varga, National President Charles and National<br />

V.P./Secretary Toth, all thanked the delegates for<br />

their generous support of the Scholarship Foundation.<br />

101. Chairman Varga / Agenda Completed. Chairman<br />

Stephen J. Varga stated the work on the Agenda for the<br />

<strong>36th</strong> <strong>General</strong> <strong>Convention</strong> has been completed. He called<br />

on Rev. Dr. Joseph Bodnar, Pastor of the Bayard Street<br />

Presbyterian Church in New Brunswick, NJ for prayer.<br />

102. Rev. Dr. Joseph Bodnar / Benediction. Rev. Dr.<br />

Joseph Bodnar offered the benediction. Delegate Evelyn B.<br />

Bodnar sang “God Bless America” and asked everyone to<br />

join her.<br />

103. <strong>Convention</strong> / Adjourned / Adopted.<br />

MOVED BY RONALD S. BALLA, SECONDED BY<br />

BARBARA A. HOUSE AND THE DELEGATES<br />

CLOSED THE 36TH GENERAL CONVENTION.<br />

104. Chairman Varga / Extends Wishes. Chairman<br />

Stephen J. Varga wished everyone a safe and pleasant<br />

journey to their homes and hoped to see everyone at the<br />

next convention in 2011.<br />
