80. Employees Receive a Standing Ovation. The<br />

<strong>Convention</strong> delegates acknowledged all the employees<br />

before them with a standing ovation with sincere thanks<br />

and appreciation.<br />

President George S. Charles, Jr., reviewed the convention<br />

booklet that each delegate received outlining the events of<br />

the convention such as Agenda, Actuarial Report, Report<br />

of the National Officers and Board of Directors and<br />

proposed By-Laws.<br />

WILLIAM PENN ASSOCIATION IS CHARGED UN-<br />

DER THE ASSOCIATION’S BY-LAWS WITH THE<br />

ULTIMATE DUTY TO MANAGE THE<br />

ASSOCIATION’S INVESTMENTS AND PROPERTY,<br />

AND<br />

WHEREAS, THE ASSOCIATION’S ASSETS MUST<br />

BE AVAILABLE TO SERVE MANY PURPOSES, IN-<br />

CLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:<br />

• THE PAYMENT OF BENEFITS TO THE HOLD-<br />

ERS OF BENEFIT CERTIFICATES;<br />

• SUPPORT AND SPONSORSHIP OF ACTIVITIES<br />

TO PROMOTE HUNGARIAN CULTURE;<br />

• FRATERNAL ACTIVITIES TO ENHANCE THE<br />

AUTHORIZED TO TAKE WHATEVER ACTIONS MAY<br />

BE NECESSARY TO DISPOSE OF NON-PRODUCTIVE<br />
