TO PARTICIPATE
(P.2021
(¡) THAT Council agree to participate as an "End of Day
Celebration" Community in ltfiay 2012 and advise the Rick
Hansen Foundation accordingly;
AND FURTHER, that Council establish an "End of Day
Celebration" Committee with representation from the following:
(a) One (1) Member of Council, plus one (l) alternate;
(b) Two (2) Representatives from the Community; at least one
of which represents an association providing support for
the disabled;
(c) One (1) Representative of the R.C.M.P.;
(d) One (1) Representative from School District #22 Board of
Education;
(e) One (1) Staff person appointed by the CAO
FIRE DISPATCH
SYSTEM (P. 236)
(¡¡) THAT Council receive the "VFRS Dispatch Modernization
Study" attached to the report dated January 12,2011;
AND FURTHER, that Council approves the Enhanced Stand-
Alone System (Fire Department Management, or "FDM") for a
Computer-Assisted Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management
System (RMS);
AND FURTHER, that Council approve a phased, annual
approach for the implementation of dispatch system
enhancements and capability expansion.

(¡¡¡) THAT Council support the City's application for the Waterfront
Storm Water Wetland project as number one City priority for
funding under the Building Canada Fund Communities
ComponenUFlood Protection Program lntake 2010 program.
(¡v) THAT Council support the 2011 Sustainability Events program,
as outlined in Attachment 1 of the report dated December 3,
2010, regarding Sustainability Events Program and Corporate
Sponsorship.
(v) THAT Council endorse the establishment of tree canopy goals
for each of the three Development Districts;
AND FURTHER, that Council endorse the establishment of
education and incentive programs to support tree protection and
maintenance as well as to encourage residents to contribute to
the enhancement of neighbourhood sustainability and
beautification;
