Dear Mr. Bandy,
Thank you for your letter dated December 2Oth.
We have lived across the street from the above address for over 5 years, and this is the first
we have heard of the lake access? ldofind it disappointingthatthis has been "hidden" for
the last 20 years as you have stated and the owners have been using concealing the access.
My biggest concern is that there is very little lake access in the this area, yet there is a
significant amount of development in this area lately. ln the last 5 years 3 new houses have
been built across the street and one significantly re-designed and rebuilt as wellfor a total of
4 houses. That is just in less than a one block area, as you are well aware there is a lot of
other new homes been built along Tronson road.
The occupants of these large houses have paid no concern to the amount of construction,
workers parking wherever they please, trucks turning in our driveways destroying the
asphalt, noise, and constant dust. lt appears that the lake shore residents have allthe
rights?
The questions and concerns that I have regarding the sale are the following:
L. Could this access be enjoyed by others in the area?
2. What is considered fair market value?
3. What would the proceeds of the sale be used?
4. Would the funds from the sale of the lake access be used for future development
of other lakeshore ProPerties?
There is limited lake shore access and property available and once it is gone, it is gone for
good, There was some lakeshore space opened on old Stamp Mill road, but there is only a
few parking spaces, no boat launch which in the summer is criticall Lake
Access should not just be for the wealthy residents of Okanagan Landing, it should be for all
residents to use and enjoY!
