<strong>The</strong> posttreatment skeletal change can be seen in<br />
figures 13 and 14. All cephalometric measurements<br />
improved except for <strong>the</strong> occlusal plane. Due to <strong>the</strong><br />
steep curve of Spee, some incisor intrusion was to be<br />
expected. This was noted when <strong>the</strong> regional superimpositions<br />
were evaluated (Figure 15). <strong>The</strong> overall<br />
superimposition illustrates <strong>the</strong> forward mandibular response<br />
typically seen with vertical control (Figure 16).<br />
<strong>The</strong> prudent use of anchorage preparation in <strong>the</strong><br />
mandibular arch provided both vertical control and<br />
stabilization of <strong>the</strong> mandibular teeth during class II<br />
