The <strong>ECOWILL</strong> Project<br />
<strong>ECOWILL</strong> (ECOdriving – Widespread Implementation <strong>for</strong> Learner Drivers and Licensed Drivers)<br />
is a three-year project (2010-2013) funded by the EU’s Intelligent Energy Europe Programme.<br />
The project aims at implementing a quality standard <strong>for</strong> <strong>short</strong>-duration <strong>Ecodriving</strong> training in<br />
Europe. There<strong>for</strong>e, an <strong>Ecodriving</strong> infrastructure consisting <strong>of</strong> trained and <strong>certified</strong> <strong>Ecodriving</strong><br />
instructors has been established throughout Europe. At the same time, <strong>ECOWILL</strong> fosters the<br />
integration <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ecodriving</strong> into driving school education and examination in all 13 partner countries.<br />
<strong>ECOWILL</strong> Short Duration Trainings<br />
The listed driving instructors have successfully participated in a Train-the-Trainer Seminar on the<br />
“<strong>ECOWILL</strong> Short Duration <strong>Ecodriving</strong> Training” and have acquired the qualification to <strong>of</strong>fer and<br />
conduct <strong>ECOWILL</strong> trainings <strong>for</strong> licensed drivers.<br />
In particular, he/she has gathered and proven expert knowledge on the following topics:<br />
‣ „Golden Rules <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ecodriving</strong>“ according to <strong>ECOWILL</strong> definition<br />
‣ GDE-Matrix (Goals <strong>for</strong> Driver Education)<br />
‣ Principles <strong>of</strong> Coaching<br />
‣ Structure and didactics <strong>of</strong> the „Short Duration Training“<br />
