your forthcoming <strong>Wedding</strong>.<br />

As you will see from the enclosed details we have taken every effort<br />

to consider all aspects of your special day but should you have any<br />

specific requirements please do not hesitate to ask our <strong>Wedding</strong><br />

Co-ordinator.<br />

As a privately owned hotel I place great importance on each individual<br />

<strong>Wedding</strong>. I therefore try to ensure that either myself or one of my experienced<br />

management team deal with your initial enquiry and all your questions right<br />

through to your final details and the running of the big day itself.<br />

To simplify the cost of your <strong>Wedding</strong> while giving you the flexibility<br />

to personalise your day we have created three <strong>Wedding</strong> packages to cater<br />

for different tastes and budgets and a fourth to allow you to upgrade your<br />

choices and further personalise your day at competitive prices.<br />

The food is always important and we have given you nine suggested<br />

menus, however you can mix them around to suit your tastes.<br />

A 10% discount on <strong>Wedding</strong> Packages for<br />

receptions held on Sunday to Friday with<br />

numbers in excess of 60 guests.<br />

all prices are inclusive of V.A.T. at the current<br />

rate of 20%. In the event of a change to this<br />

rate prices would be adjusted accordingly.<br />

Bookings are provisionally held for 14 days<br />

and then a £500 deposit is required to secure<br />

the booking. A further £1,000 is required 1 year<br />

prior to the <strong>Wedding</strong>. Failure to pay the additional<br />

£1,000 will result in the cancellation of the<br />

<strong>Wedding</strong> and the loss of the £500 deposit.<br />

Any cancellations should be in writing. All deposits<br />

are non-refundable.<br />

An estimated account will be payable 14 days<br />

to your <strong>Wedding</strong> Reception.<br />

Final Numbers<br />

We will charge for the final numbers confirmed<br />

24 hours prior to your function.<br />

Prices are reviewed each year on first May. For budgeting<br />

purposes please allow for an increase of no more than 5%<br />

each year.<br />

Accommodation<br />

Accommodation rates for overnight stays can be obtained by contacting<br />

our reservations department on 0141 779 2111, where the best<br />

available rate on that day will apply.<br />

Menus<br />

The nine menus shown earlier in the brochure are only examples.<br />

Please ask for assistance if you wish to mix and match. A full<br />

range of vegetarian and children’s menus are also available.<br />

Children under 12 are charged half price.<br />

Flowers<br />

Every effort will be made to match the table floral arrangements offered<br />

within the <strong>Wedding</strong> packages to the bridal colour scheme. This, however<br />

can be guaranteed by using our local florist De Bloemist, where Rian or<br />

Mark will be only to happy to help you. Phone 0141 779 2836.<br />

Photographs<br />

Photographs are very important to record the happy memories of your<br />

special day! When helping you to finalise the timing, we will allow ample<br />

time for photographs, plus any hiccups! In order to assist your photographer,<br />

we have recently landscaped part of the hotel grounds. Using these<br />

surroundings for your photographs, plus the various areas within the hotel<br />

(especially in inclement weather conditions), will greatly reduce the time<br />

needed and the frustration that your guests could experience.<br />

Information<br />

Bands<br />

Whilst we have no resident band or disco, we do have a list of some entertainers<br />

who have played at previous <strong>Wedding</strong>s. You are welcome to organise your<br />

own music but we would suggest you consider the size of the band and the<br />

time taken to set up. Bands taking over 45 minutes can lead to unnecessary<br />

frustration and delay in starting the dancing on time.<br />

Ceremony in the Hotel<br />

For those wishing to hold their ceremony in the hotel the ‘drawing room’<br />

can hold up to 70 guests including the <strong>Wedding</strong> party. Larger numbers<br />

can be catered for in the main function suite.<br />

Civil Marriages by Registrar in the Hotel<br />

The hotel is a licensed venue for <strong>Wedding</strong> ceremonies to be performed<br />

by a registrar (subject to availability).<br />

The private dining room can hold parties of up to 50 guests. For fuller details<br />
