•1829 -Extension <strong>Durrow</strong> Abbey House<br />

•1837 - New larger house built<br />

•1843 - Abbey House burned - Re-built<br />

•1923 - Abbey House burned again<br />

•1926 - House rebuilt as it is today<br />

•Site of composition of Book of <strong>Durrow</strong><br />

•2003 - <strong>Durrow</strong> Abbey House and 31 hectares<br />

purchased by the state<br />

The good news now is that the site,<br />

including the Church and High Cross,<br />

is open to the public all year round;<br />

10am - 4pm in winter and<br />

10am - 5pm the rest of the year.<br />

to 2000AD, incorporating <strong>Durrow</strong> Abbey<br />

House, Cemetery, Church and School, Local<br />

Folklore, Farming, Music and Song.<br />

Tour of Cemetery.<br />

Exhibition of Art, Old Photographs<br />

and Local School Records.<br />

Also, General Introduction to Family History.<br />

Evening to conclude with Social Dancing.<br />
