On short wheel base vehicles, such as cars motorbikes and small
trucks and vans, when a brake application is made, there is a
transfer of weight onto the front wheels. (Most of these vehicles will
be equipped with disc brakes at the the front and drum brakes at
the rear.) This further indicates that the majority of braking is
accomplished by the front brakes.
