perception time, reaction time, brake lag time and braking distance.
• Other factors such as poor road condition due to inclement weather, driver
fatigue and vehicle condition will add length to overall stopping distance.
•As a professional driver, it is incumbent upon you to prepare yourself for any
eventuality and govern your driving habits accordingly.
•Techniques such as brake coverage, eye lead time, effective scanning and
comprehensive vehicle pre-trip inspections can do a lot to even the odds.
