Service Line Rupture (handling the situation)
As with a supply line rupture, if the glad hands simply fell apart, they can be
reconnected and the system recharged by opening the trailer supply valve. This will
immediately release the trailer brakes and you’re on your way.
If the service line is damaged beyond repair, you need not leave the cab in order to move
the vehicle to a safe location. Just recharge the trailer reservoir, the trailer brakes will
release and remain so until a service brake application is made again.
If, for whatever reason, the above procedures cannot be carried out, simply drain the
trailer reservoir and the trailer brakes will release.
