Setting
The setting is in a small town called bathory.

This story is told by a narrator which is
a third person point of view.

The theme of this book is about a
teenager who has to live his life with
out his parents not to mention he is a
half vampire

Junior high really stinks for thirteen-year old Vladimir Tod. Bullies
harass him, the principal is dogging him, and the girl he like prefers his
best friend. Oh and Vlad has a secret :his mother was human but his
father was a vampire. With no one to teach him, Vlad struggles daily
with his blood cravings and his enlarged fangs. When a strange
substitute teacher begins to question him a little to closely, Vlad worries
his cover is about to be blown. But then he realizes he has a much
bigger problem: He`s being hunted by a vampire killer who is closing
in… fast! This first book in this ghoulishly funny series leads readers on
a nail biting adventure that is filled with dark characters and mystical
glyphs, secret identities and hidden agendas, unearthly powers and
teenage angst.

• I loved this book it was exciting, suspenseful,
and funny! I would recommend this book to
anyone how loves vampire books that are dark
and funny!!

• This author is named Heather Brewer. Heather
was not your typical teen growing up. She wore
black, danced under full moons, and devoured
every book in sight. She hasn’t changed much.
Today Heather can be found writing in her funky
black Happy Bunny jammie pants, dancing under
the full moon and devouring every book in sight.
Heather doesn’t believe in happy endings- unless
they involve blood. She lives in Missouri with her
husband and two children. This is her first book;
her second is ninth grade slays , the sequel to
