Faculty Research Report 2011 - 2012 Faculty at Robson Hall conduct so much research and give so many conference presentations that it is simply impossible to list all of their scholarly work. What follows is a list of articles, chapters and books published by faculty members in the 2011-2012 academic year: Professor Karen Busby Professor Karen Busby’s Manitoba Queen’s Bench Rules Annotated (loose leaf edition) has now expanded to a two volume set and Releases 43-45 have been published. Dr. Michelle Gallant Dr. Michelle Gallant contributed a chapter, “Canadian Forfeiture Law” to Colin King, ed. Confiscation of Assets, Edward Elgar, 2012. Professor Brenda Gunn Professor Brenda Gunn published “Let’s Get on With it: Implementing The Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples” in 2011 Justice as Healing and “Understanding and Implementing the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples: An Introductory Handbook.” Dr. DeLloyd J. Guth Dr. DeLloyd J. Guth published (with Professor John McEvoy, UNB) a book-length collection of scholarly essays entitled Ivan C. Rand at The Supreme Court of Canada 1943-1959, as volumes 34.1-2 (2010) Manitoba Law Journal and as LXI (2010) University of New Brunswick Law Journal. He also published a book review of Paul Cavill’s The English Parliaments of Henry VII, 1485-1504, in 990 Reviews in History (University of London, Institute of Historical Research, 2011); and “Doing Law in Rupert’s Land: Adam Thom’s Two Codes”, Proceedings of the 14th Rupert’s Land Colloquium 2010 (Winnipeg, 2011). Dr. Gerald Heckman Dr. Gerald Heckman published “Remedies for Delay in Administrative Decision-making: Where Are We After Blencoe?” in the Canadian Journal of Administrative Law and Practice; “Artful Pleading and Access to Meaningful Relief in Crown Litigation: Canada (Attorney General) v. Telezone” in the Advocates’ Quarterly; and “Nor- Man Regional Health Authority: Labour Arbitration, Questions of General Law and the Challenges of Legal Centrism” (2011) Manitoba Law Journal 63. Professor Darcy MacPherson Professor Darcy MacPherson, together with Sunita Doobay, published “Craig and Stare Decisis” Volume 20, No. 2 Canadian Tax Highlights (February, 2012), at 2-3 and “Gunn & Craig – Hobbies, Farms and Stare Decisis” (TaxNetPro and The Tax Practitioners’ Forum, January 2012). With Edward D. Brown he published “Fraud and Knowledge of a Pre-Existing Security Interest under the Personal Property Security Act: Guidance for Manitoba Courts and Practitioners from Other Jurisdictions” (2011), 35(1) Manitoba Law Journal 201.
