Despite a media culture intent on portraying lawyers as
button-down and never far from the courtroom, the profiles
of real-life international lawyers reveal the uncommon lives of
U of M alumni who have re-invented the traditional view of
what it’s like to practice law.
From Brazil to Bermuda, from The Hague to Haiti, U of M grads
are practicing their profession in global arenas of power,
justice and influence and at the same time are pointing the
way for current students to create their own unique paths.
Their individual stories are instructive and inspiring.
