seminal fluid (like the blood) tends to follow the chi energy, the<br />

navel, in effect, grips the seminal fluid and pulls it up into the body<br />

through the spine. So contract the urogenital diaphragm as if you<br />

were holding in a bladderful <strong>of</strong> urine. Lock the passage so tightly<br />

that no internal urge can burst through the sealing rings <strong>of</strong> muscle.<br />

SAFETY POINTS FOR TESTICLE BREATHING, SCROTAL<br />

COMPRESSION, AND POWER LOCK<br />

1. Never lie flat on the back during these exercises. The power may<br />

stick in the chest, causing considerable irritability and undue pressure<br />

on the heart.<br />

2. Never lie on the left side when practicing. This also stresses the<br />

heart and overfills it with energy.<br />

3. Never place any objects under your side while in the lying position.<br />

This will bend the channel <strong>of</strong> energy and may cause back<br />

pain.<br />

If any <strong>of</strong> the problems mentioned in points 1 to 3 arise, release<br />

the energy safely by using the "Venting Exercise". Any pains or<br />

discomfort should disappear within one week <strong>of</strong> beginning to vent.<br />

4. Practice on an empty stomach whenever possible. In any event,<br />

always wait one hour after eating.<br />

5. Wear clothes or wrap yourself in a light blanket during this<br />

practice. You will perspire if the exercises are done properly and<br />

will suffer a chill if not covered. After practice change your clothes<br />

so that you are removed from the moisture <strong>of</strong> the fabric. There<br />

should be a gentle flow <strong>of</strong> clean air in the room. Avoid any drafts or<br />

wind. Wind tends to blow the chi power away. It might cause your<br />

energy to get cold easily.<br />

6. Sweat should accumulate on the brow after five scrotal compressions.<br />

As you advance, beads <strong>of</strong> sweat should stand on your brow<br />

after three compressions. Rub this sweat into the skin: it has desirable<br />

properties which should be returned to the body.<br />

7. Don't breathe through the mouth during these exercises. It is
