Structure of the Master’s Programme: Total 180 credits
‣ Term 1: Sept – Dec: 8 – 10 Core Modules: 10 credits points each
‣ Term 2: Jan – May/early June: 2 – 4 from a range of Electives: 10 credits points each
‣ Term 3: 12-week’s Work Placement and Master’s Dissertation: 19.500 -22.500 words
Submission of Dissertation: 3 rd week of September
Graduation: December

‣ Formal Examination

‣ University of Bradford MSc in the particular subject area
Accompanied by a transcript indicating amongst others: “electives abroad” etc.
Study Load
‣ Typically: 1 module = 10 credits = 100 study hours.
out of which:
32 contact hours in formal lectures/tutorials/study group work
68 hours of study /writing etc.
‣ Total work Load minimum of 2000 study hours!
‣ No part-time jobs are feasible
Accreditation
‣ The University of Bradford MSc degree is an officially recognized British Academic degree with a
world-wide reputation and official recognition
‣ The School of Management and its Master Programmes have Triple Crown Accreditation:
AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS/EFMD*
Only less than 1% of the world business schools have the Triple Crown!
Application Procedure for Selected Group
Along with an online Application Form the following supporting documents and evidence are required:
‣ Good First Degree (Bachelor in any subject)
‣ Evidence of English Language by one of the three following tests:
• The Pearson Test of English (Academic) – required overall score of 60 or above with no sub-test
of less than 51. Pearson Test is easiest/quickest. Multiple attempts possible. Practise tests are
available online. More details about the test online may be viewed at
http://www.pearsonpte.com/PTEAcademic
Test can be organised typically within 48 hours, with results in around 3 weeks.
• TOEFL required overall score 94 with sub-tests of at least: Listening 17, Reading 18, Speaking 20,
• and Writing 17.
• IELTS, required overall score 6.5 with no sub-test below 5.5.

‣ Minimum of 1-hr. personal interview with either
Dr. Joséphine Borchert-Ansinger, First President and Founder of Universiteit Nimbas Graduate
School of Management, and
Prof. John Sparkes, former Deputy Director of University of Bradford School of Management
‣ Academic Reference: Dr. Borchert-Ansinger and/or Prof. Sparkes
‣ Evidence of English Language: Preferably Pearson’s Test
Tuition Fee: £ 9.000 for the Academic Year 2013-2014
‣ Plus: £ 500 Costs of additional study materials at Bradford School of Management
‣ Plus: € 250 Application & interview Fee

Time-line - How to proceed
‣ Before 30 June 2013 : Express your wish in writing to the Directors of IVA that you want to study for
an MSc at The University of Bradford School of Management
• You will be informed about the Application Procedure and the
date of your 1-hour Personal Interview: results may be expected within 10 days
• Register immediately (on-line) for one of the English Academic Language Tests:
Pearson Test of English (Academic), TOEFL or IELTS
‣ Before 01 August 2013: All documents should be at the University of Bradford
• On-line Application Form
• Academic Reference: Personal 1-hour Interview results
• Pearson Test of English (Academic), TOEFL or IELTS test results
• Copy of IVA, TMO or other reputable HBO/University Bachelor Degree Certificate
‣ 16 September 2013 (provisional starting date to be confirmed)
Start Induction Week and Start of the Academic Year 2013 – 2014
Arrival at Bradford no later than 13 September.
