Light rays focus at one point because spherical aberration control is incorporated.
The aberration control technology used to manufacture FreshCare
Advance disposable lenses creates an aspherical front surface to focus light
rays at a common focal point, thereby providing greater image resolution
than conventional disposable lenses and an increased depth of focus.
Even patients with astigmatism of up to 1D can benefit from wearing
FreshCare Advance lenses as they will experience a reduction in the circle
of least confusion.
Fitting Guide
Light rays do not focus at one point because of spherical aberration.
Convert the spectacle Rx to its spherical
equivalent and for cylinder powers
between -0.50D and -1.00D add -0.25D
to the spherical equivalent. If the spherical
equivalent is equal to or greater than ±4D
compensate for BVD.
After allowing the lens to settle there should
be between 0.2 mm and 0.5 mm of
movement on blink. Over-refract if necessary.

Lenses are a new hydrogel material that offers improved comfort and vision levels for your patient. The material
contains molecules of phosphorylcholine, a substance that is found naturally in human cell membranes and
which attract and surround themselves with water, ensuring lenses stay comfortable for longer.
FreshCare
XC
Lenses have great wetting properties which give added comfort to last right through the day. The unique
material actually attracts and holds water molecules. It also provides good oxygen supply for safe daily wear.
FreshCare
XC
Lenses have properties that help resist surface deposition which aids and prolongs all day comfort.
FreshCare
XC
Lenses now combine the unique material properties with a sophisticated aspheric design giving better
enhanced vision.
The FreshCare Toric lens has an advanced back surface design with one diopter of prism ballast which provides exceptional stability.
This lens stability, combined with enhanced optics, results in superior visual performance. A thin edge aids comfort and the highly
reproducible manufacturing processes can be relied upon to provide toric lenses which perform consistently.
Clinical studies highlighted an overall preference for FreshCare Toric against a market leading toric and a specific preference for
insertion and removal qualities. 1.2
Fitting Guide
Convert the spectacle Rx to minus cylinder
form and for powers greater than ±4D
compensate for BVD. Select cylinder power
closest to vertex corrected cylinder power
and cylinder axis closest to spectacle
refractive axis. After 20 minutes check for
0.2 mm to 0.5 mm movement, stabilisation
of the laser mark and acceptable visual
acuity. If necessary, over-refract.
