Representative Military <strong>Tests</strong><br />

Venue<br />

3 Almost any area or outdoor facility may be used for the RMT providing suitable<br />

equipment is available and it offers a safe testing environment.<br />

Safety<br />

4 The Conducting Officer is to ensure the following safety procedures are adhered to<br />

at all times:<br />

a. The test is to comply with the current DCI (JS) titled “Heat Illness in the<br />

Armed Forces: Prevention and Treatment”.<br />

b. Commanders are to ensure that training for this test is progressive and no<br />

ranks undertake the test without adequate preparation.<br />

c. Drinking water or other suitable liquid is available throughout the tests if<br />

required.<br />

Supervision<br />

5 The following personnel are required to conduct the test:<br />

a. Conducting Officer PTI (2007DIN07-076 ).<br />

b. Timekeeper (PTI or any Officers or SNCO).<br />

c. Medic (MA or other qualified individual).<br />

d. Safety Vehicle Driver (IAW current Service MT regulations).<br />

e. Recorder (Any JNCO).<br />

Duties of Test Personnel<br />

6 The following are to be observed during RMT testing:<br />

a. The Conducting Officer is responsible for the administration and safety of the<br />

test.<br />

b. The timekeeper is responsible for the accurate timing of relevant tests.<br />

c. The medic is responsible for the care of any casualty.<br />

d. A safety vehicle is to be available throughout the test.<br />

e. The recorder is responsible for accurately recording test results.<br />
