RM Advanced Combat <strong>Fitness</strong> Test<br />

RM ACFT (1) - TEST STANDARDS<br />

1 The RM ACFT (1) is a battery of tests conducted in two parts. They are:<br />

Part 1 - Speed March. Part 1 of RM ACFT 1 is a 6.44km (4 mile) speed march<br />

which is to be completed in 40 minutes while carrying 13.22 Kgs (21 lbs - CEFO +<br />

SA80 negative SUSAT)<br />

Part 2 - Representative Military <strong>Tests</strong> (RMT) Immediately after completion of<br />

Part1 all ranks are to perform a range of RMT. The Comd, in consultation with the<br />

unit PTI, is to select a minimum of 3 tasks from those listed at Table 8 on page 30<br />

which best represent role- related operational requirements for anaerobic muscular<br />

endurance (speed), muscular strength and combat agility, each individual RMT is<br />

only to be used once per test.<br />

4 MILE SPEED MARCH<br />

2 Dress and Equipment The personal dress and equipment required for the RM<br />

ACFT (1) and RMT is:<br />

a. PLCE. (CEFO) – 13.22 kgs (21lbs)<br />

b. Weapon.<br />

c. Combat 95.<br />

3 To conduct the test the following resources are required:<br />

a. Safety vehicle – with additional drinking water and first aid equipment.<br />

b. Traffic guides. (Issued with fluorescent “Troops Marching” vests)<br />

c. Stopwatches.<br />

d. ACFT (1) procedural brief.<br />

e. Result sheets.<br />

f. Communications (The principal consideration being the response time to<br />

medical facilities)<br />
