Duties of the Conducting Staff<br />
The duties of the conducting staff are as follows:<br />

Safety<br />

a. OIC. The OIC is responsible for the administration and safe conduct of the<br />
test.<br />
b. Sweeper. The Sweeper is responsible for dealing with any casualties.<br />
c. Road Safety Personnel. Road Safety Personnel are to wear a hi-Vis vest<br />
and are responsible for warning and slowing approaching traffic that troops<br />
are on the road.<br />
e. Safety Vehicle Driver. When a Safety Vehicle Driver is used, the driver is<br />
responsible for following the last participant around the route and picking up<br />
any participant that require transport to the finish.<br />
OICs must ensure the following safety procedures are adhered to at all times:<br />
General:<br />
Combat <strong>Fitness</strong> Test<br />
a. OIC are to ensure the training for the test is progressive and nobody<br />
undertakes the test without adequate preparation.<br />
b. Water is drunk before and after the test.<br />
The OIC is to ensure that:<br />
a. Adequate safety personnel are deployed along route (traffic guides).<br />
b. The Sweeper is competent at administering first aid to anyone suffering from<br />
injury or illness.<br />
Test Procedures/Protocol<br />
The OIC is to ensure that:<br />

a. The CFT procedural brief is read to all participants.<br />
b. Ensure the Pacesetter maintains the correct pace for the duration of the test.<br />
c. Participants are monitored closely throughout the test (to ensure adherence<br />
to the test protocols).<br />
d. Record the results of the test for all participants.<br />
e. Administer cool-down for all participants.<br />
