The real-time simulation system <strong>WinMOD</strong> is continuously improved by Mewes & Partner.<br />

The fundam<strong>en</strong>tal developm<strong>en</strong>t targets are:<br />

• Continuous system developm<strong>en</strong>t for effici<strong>en</strong>t <strong>en</strong>gineering and usage of <strong>WinMOD</strong> simulation<br />

projects.<br />

• Continuous adaption and ext<strong>en</strong>sion to the developm<strong>en</strong>t of the automation systems.<br />

• Continuous integration of the PC technique, which is used as hardware platform.<br />

• Continuous adaption to <strong>en</strong>hanced versions of the operation system platform MS Windows.<br />

The purchase of the <strong>WinMOD</strong> System <strong>Software</strong> includes for the duration of 6 months the <strong>WinMOD</strong><br />

Standard <strong>Service</strong> consisting of the <strong>WinMOD</strong> Support via telephone and e-mail hotline as well as<br />

access to the <strong>WinMOD</strong> Customer <strong>Service</strong> C<strong>en</strong>ter with download area for the duration of 6 months as<br />

free of charge service.<br />

The <strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>Software</strong> <strong>Maint<strong>en</strong>ance</strong> <strong>Service</strong> will provide these services to you beyond the 6 months<br />

period. This service keeps your <strong>WinMOD</strong> Systems up to date and you can also b<strong>en</strong>efit from the<br />

multiple provisions and supports of the <strong>WinMOD</strong> Customer <strong>Service</strong> C<strong>en</strong>ter.<br />

<strong>Service</strong> Description<br />

The <strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>Software</strong> <strong>Maint<strong>en</strong>ance</strong> <strong>Service</strong> includes the following b<strong>en</strong>efits:<br />

• The <strong>WinMOD</strong> Support is at your disposal for the clarification of technical questions and for the<br />

solution of technical problems by telephone and e-mail hotline. You can also receive assistance by<br />

the shared desktop <strong>WinMOD</strong> Remote Support.<br />

The support via telephone and e-mail hotline is available from Monday until Friday 8:00 – 16:30<br />

excepted public holidays.<br />

• In the <strong>WinMOD</strong> Customer <strong>Service</strong> C<strong>en</strong>ter actual versions of the <strong>WinMOD</strong> System <strong>Software</strong>,<br />

<strong>WinMOD</strong> Configurations and <strong>WinMOD</strong> Add-Ons are provided for download in the area <strong>WinMOD</strong><br />

Product Support. Moreover you will find here also all actual manuals for the <strong>WinMOD</strong> System<br />

<strong>Software</strong>, <strong>WinMOD</strong> Configurations and <strong>WinMOD</strong> Add-Ons.<br />

• The area <strong>WinMOD</strong> System Coaching allows a fast learning, trial and understanding of <strong>WinMOD</strong><br />

projects. Differ<strong>en</strong>t <strong>WinMOD</strong> projects for all simulation elem<strong>en</strong>ts are shown in their variety. The<br />

<strong>WinMOD</strong> System Coaching is completed by videos about the typical workflows in <strong>WinMOD</strong>. It is the<br />

optimal complem<strong>en</strong>t to manuals and online support.<br />

• The <strong>WinMOD</strong> OCA Libraries in the <strong>WinMOD</strong> Customer <strong>Service</strong> C<strong>en</strong>ter provide prepared <strong>WinMOD</strong><br />

compon<strong>en</strong>ts for the areas process automation and factory automation. These compon<strong>en</strong>ts are op<strong>en</strong><br />

and can be easily modified in order to adjust to actual customer projects. They are characterized by<br />

large simulation depth and high accuracy.<br />

• The <strong>WinMOD</strong> Project Guidelines in the <strong>WinMOD</strong> Customer <strong>Service</strong> C<strong>en</strong>ter define the uniform<br />

<strong>WinMOD</strong> Project Standard, including the areas product design, structural conception and<br />

standardization of signal and type declarations as well as item designations (ID). These project<br />

guidelines help projects to adopt highly optimized workflows and to guarantee reproducible results<br />

and effici<strong>en</strong>t workflows.<br />

• The utilization of <strong>WinMOD</strong> Project and File Templates in the <strong>WinMOD</strong> Customer <strong>Service</strong> C<strong>en</strong>ter<br />

allows the fast creation of uniformly structured projects with common layout. They include file<br />

templates for device simulation, compon<strong>en</strong>t libraries and <strong>WinMOD</strong> Project files.<br />

All software compon<strong>en</strong>ts like <strong>WinMOD</strong> System <strong>Software</strong>, <strong>WinMOD</strong> Configurations and <strong>WinMOD</strong> Add-Ons<br />

bought for one <strong>WinMOD</strong> System are lic<strong>en</strong>sed by a single <strong>WinMOD</strong> System lic<strong>en</strong>se with a unique lic<strong>en</strong>se<br />

number. One <strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>Software</strong> <strong>Maint<strong>en</strong>ance</strong> <strong>Service</strong> always relates to a single <strong>WinMOD</strong> System lic<strong>en</strong>se.<br />

Start of service:<br />

Wh<strong>en</strong> ordering <strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>Software</strong> <strong>Maint<strong>en</strong>ance</strong> within the first 6 months after lic<strong>en</strong>se purchase, the<br />

<strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>Software</strong> <strong>Maint<strong>en</strong>ance</strong> <strong>Service</strong> continues the <strong>WinMOD</strong> Standard <strong>Service</strong>. In the case of a later<br />

ordering or of interruption of annual paym<strong>en</strong>t, an upgrade/update to the actual software version is required.<br />

Duration of service:<br />

The <strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>Software</strong> <strong>Maint<strong>en</strong>ance</strong> <strong>Service</strong> is agreed for 2 years and will be automatically r<strong>en</strong>ewed for one<br />

year as long as it is not cancelled in due time.<br />

The <strong>WinMOD</strong> <strong>Software</strong> <strong>Maint<strong>en</strong>ance</strong> <strong>Service</strong> can be cancelled in due time for the following year by the<br />

lic<strong>en</strong>see or by M&P without giving reasons up to 3 months before <strong>en</strong>ding of the actual service year.<br />
